JOB DESCRIPTION

Within the Quick Service Restaurant division of Ecolab Canada, we have an excellent career opportunity for a Sales Development Manager (SDM).

This position will be responsible for engaging in consultative face-to-face sales and will require a dedicated focus providing comprehensive solutions to meet the needs of customers within the division.

The SDM will be responsible for driving sales by developing strategic sales plans for local competitive customers and will serve as the face of Ecolab, providing recommendations on advanced cleaning and sanitation processes and programs that drive a positive guest experience and create cleaner, safer, and healthier environments.

In addition to a laser focus on results and driving growth, a successful candidate will be customer focused with interpersonal savvy and will manage complexity in a collaborative environment and strategically partner with customers for the long-term success of our organization.

What You Will Do :

  • Build a sales pipeline by cold-calling and prospecting to secure new accounts and generate new sales within a specific geographic area as you build Ecolab’s brand in your market
  • Using a consultative approach, learn customers’ systems and devise unique proposals and solutions as their expert on advanced cleaning and sanitation processes and programs
  • Coordinate and collaborate in partnerships with fellow associates to maximize Ecolab’s sales growth efforts in key accounts and facilitate cross-divisional sales opportunities
  • Drive new business to meet or exceeding sales targets.
  • Assist field sales associates with accounts that are in jeopardy and provide education on the most effective tools to grow street sales.
  • Serve as the key point of contact in a local industry-related organization

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Post-secondary education preferred
  • 2-3 years of sales experience with a successful sales track record
  • Related sales and account management experience in the hospitality or restaurant industry with an understanding of food safety is an asset
  • Must have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
  • Proof of Covid-19 vaccination may be required based on client site requirements.

Physical Demands : Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds

Territory : British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan. .

Overnight Travel : Up to 20%

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Previous business to business commercial sales experience
  • Industry related experience in food service, hospitality, food safety procedures
  • Proven negotiation, relationship management, communication and presentation skills
  • Strong track record of producing results and growing markets
  • Additional certifications in sales and / or account management

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range :

Total compensation range is $60,000 $67,000. This position has base salary and is eligible for incentive compensation based on performance, per plan terms.

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range is based on full-time 40 hours per week. Ecolab in good faith anticipates it will pay within the posted range.

Many factors are taken into consideration when determining the compensation for a potential new employee such as education, training, experience, work location, travel (if required), etc.
