Project Engineer - Plastic Injection/Extrusion
Job Description
Key Accountabilities :
- Perform a variety of engineering functions to establish processes and parameters on injection molding machines to ensure the proper functioning of equipment and productivity of products produced.
- Monitor all plastic manufacturing processes
injection, extrusion) and maintain optimization of all equipment and provide support to all ISO structure.
- Assists in development of design standards, cost standards and pricing standards to expedite and provide input for continuous improvement of the quote process
- Observe equipment and materials to determine or analyze cause of machine malfunctions; repair and / or make necessary adjustments to equipment to obtain desired operating results.
- Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
- Develop a business case for to improve the quality and reduce the cost of molded components.
- Assist in the technical development of injection molding employees.
Key Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field such as Mechanical Engineering, Plastics or other technical field
- Well versed in plastic process optimization using data driven metrics.
- Must be able to work with a variety of customers and internal departments.
- Must have strong verifiable injection molding / tooling experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft software applications and other software applications as required.
