First Aid Trainer

Overview

We are looking for a part-time First Aid Instructor to join our Paladin team! This position is forecasted to be 24‑hours per week, teaching either Basic First Aid (BFA) or Intermediate First Aid (IFA) at our office in Burnaby. In this role, you will facilitate hands‑on instruction, evaluate participant performance, and ensure our training meets certification and regulatory standards.

If interested in full‑time work, additional hours can potentially be supplemented with work in the field as a Security Officer at one of our many sites throughout the Lower Mainland.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and accurate BFA and IFA training
• Prepare training materials, equipment, and course documentation
• Evaluate participant performance and issue certifications as applicable
• Maintain accurate training records, attendance, and reports
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
• Stay current with first aid guidelines, safety standards, and instructional best practices
• Provide feedback and recommendations to improve training programs
• Represent the organization professionally during all training sessions
• Other duties as required to meet operational needs
