The PE Charging Subsystem Engineer is responsible for the development and validation of electric vehicle power electronics and electrified vehicle systems / devices for passenger cars and trucks. The PE Charging Subsystem Engineer will oversee / develop efficient and cost-effective power electronics using cutting edge technologies, the latest test and evaluation equipment / laboratory, and robust simulation tools. He / she will develop power electronic devices DVP & R, define and carry out all required development / validation testing to ensure achievement of all functional objectives, diagnostics and assure compliance to program goals and participate in supplier assessments and post-test inspection reviews, including detailed failure analysis. The PE Charging Subsystem Engineer will work closely with the chosen suppliers and manufacturing entities to ensure designs are robust to customer requirements, meet exact function, and are manufactural without defect. Tested finished product for quality purposes and recommends changes to product specifications as necessary. The PE Charging Subsystem Engineer will define and carry out all required bench development / validation testing to ensure achievement of all functional objectives and assure compliance to program goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Technical Responsibility
- Contribute to the Global Technical Area (GTA) strategy and lead in the capability growth of the engineering team
- Support and develop Technical Area (TA) core competencies
- Support and contribute to knowledge base of internal and external best practices
- Lead benchmarking studies and contribute to the benchmark knowledgebase
- Propose and lead advanced development topics within the GTA
- Propose continuous improvement opportunities to level up team skills, qualifications, tools and processes
- Lead design proposals with set based engineering principles
- Lead designs with 6 Sigma design principles
- Lead complex problem solving with cross functional teams
Project Planning, Target Achievement, Monitoring & Reporting
Employ technical expertise to lead the engineering development of one or more projectsLead and support the project team(s) engineering in achieving project objectives, performance and cost requirements, and timing milestonesLead external support, services and resources supporting the project engineering developmentResponsible for work development packages assigned to third partiesConfirm Functional Requirements and project performance targets and assure the targets are achievableConfirm project cost and timing targets and assure the targets are achievableSupport the Chief Engineer (CE) and contribute to the project resource planning, budget development, and status reportingResponsible to monitor the SW releases of each of the project development programs on time per the FROP (Feature Roll up Plan)Responsible for meeting the serial production tact, First Time Quality (FTQ) and ergo targetsResponsible for meeting market region regulations, FMVSS, ECE, HV Charging Global Standards, etc.Confirm the Design Verification Plan and Report (DVP&R) comprehend all project targets and is completeConfirm the project Design Failure Mode and Effects and Analysis (DFMEA) comprehends all product risks and product usage casesProject Related Interface
