Maintenance Electrician – Night Shift

Waterloo, Ontario | Full-Time | Permanent

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to support a well-structured, advanced manufacturing operation in Waterloo. This role is critical to maintaining equipment safety, production reliability, and continuous improvement within a clean and well-organized facility.

This position requires a long-term commitment to night shift operations.

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly rate : $44 / hour + night shift premium

Overtime : Paid after 40 hours; approximately one Saturday every six weeks

Shift Information

Hours : 10 : 00 PM – 6 : 00 AM

Schedule : Full-time, steady night shift

Primary Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective electrical maintenance on production equipment

Troubleshoot and repair equipment operating at 480–600V

Work with PLC-based systems (Siemens or Allen-Bradley; basic programming is an asset)

Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation

Support automation, reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives

Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and company policies

Operate material-handling equipment, including tow motors and overhead cranes, as required

Qualifications & Requirements

Valid 309A or 442A Certificate of Qualification (mandatory)

1–2+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience

Completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a warm, moderately noisy environment

Proficiency using metric and imperial measurement tools
