Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Financial Analyst works across all areas of the business assisting with financial analysis, budgeting, and special projects, investigates efficiency opportunities and provides financial project support to various stakeholders.

This is a full-cycle accounting role with a great opportunity to interact with all departments of the business. This role may involve some advisory or supervision regarding month end processes.

Benefits Extended Health & Dental Benefits Premiums Paid by Employer Employer Contribution Pension Plan Growth Opportunities Paid Training Long term job security Employee Assistance Program Telus Health Virtual Care Responsibilities Preparation, analysis and commentary of monthly financial reports for accounting and executive teams Prepare, review and provide training opportunities related to account reconciliations Investigate, develop and manage financial tools related to the financial cycle process Work directly with the business to assist with queries, improvements in financial literacy, assistance with annual budgets and develop branch-specific processes for improvement in financial reporting Provide analysis, recommendations and conclusions on projects via presentations (in person and virtual) Assist the Controller and VP of Finance with preparation of financial reports for business cases, special projects and acquisitions Liaise with the Controller of the US-based related entity regarding their monthly financial reporting, analysis, account reconciliation and budgets.

Participate in learning, training, and teaching opportunities for the accounting and corporate management team Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the business, for daily operations Prepare financial analysis and recommendations for all ad hoc requests from the business Other duties and projects as assigned Qualifications CPA designation required 5+ years’ experience as a financial analyst with previous audit or full-cycle accounting experience Experience with business, finance and / or accounting ERP systems.

Contribute to a positive team environment Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft 365, specifically Excel, is required Detail oriented and committed to a high level of accuracy Professional and courteous in all communications across all departments Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong organizational skills related to workload, time management, and setting priorities in an unsupervised environment Effective problem solving and organizational skills Compensation Rate $85,000 - $105,000 annually Pay rate will be determined based on previous experience, relevant certifications and skill level Powered by JazzHR
