The role and key duties

  • Assist the housekeeping team with room servicing and check-out cleans.
  • Allocate and oversee completion of daily housekeeping schedules.
  • Monitor team performance and implement strategies to boost productivity.
  • Manage stock and supplies within the housekeeping department.
  • Collaborate with the Front Office Manager to prepare rosters aligned with wage targets and occupancy.
  • Uphold Workplace Health & Safety standards for a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular inspections of rooms and public areas to maintain luxury standards.

Essential criteria required to be considered

  • Previous experience in a Housekeeping leadership role, from within a luxury hotel environment (essential)
  • A hands‑on leader who can balance management duties with operational tasks.
  • Strong organisational skills, a solid work ethic, and commitment to excellence—even under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings (from 6am), weekends, and public holidays.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
