We are looking to hire a Plant Operator - Team Lead on the afternoon shift for our Daniels medical waste treatment facility in our Brampton plant.

A Plant Operator - Team Lead has a widely varying role from checking in containers double checking paperwork moving / unloading specific waste containers and operating a forklift to load an autoclave.

The ideal Plant Operator - Team Lead is an individual who likes variety in their work and can think through practical problems along with being responsible for production targets.

Responsibilities :

• Lead a team.
• Ensure production targets are achieved.
• Receiving and processing of the various bio medical waste streams.
• Scans waste into Route Optics for proper record keeping purposes.
• Maintains the boiler and the autoclave functions to ensure maximum operating efficiency.
• Ensures that all waste is properly processed and / or stored in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Ensures an adequate supply of clean reusable bins and totes are readily available for logistics purposes.
• Washes and ensures quality control of all reusable bins and totes.
• Ensures housekeeping issues e.g. spills cleaned up floor is dry and debris not on floor etc. are addressed immediately.
• Performs additional duties and assists in other areas of the plant operation as directed by Plant Supervisor.
• Shift : 3 : 30pm - 1 : 00am
• Forklift certification is a must and candidate must be mechanically inclined as this position is responsible for trouble shooting in case of any mechanical / technical failures with machine.
