Senior Legal Counsel
Job Description
YOUR NEXT CHALLENGES :
- You will draft, review and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts and other legal documents, particularly in the areas of information technology, sales, distribution & procurement;
- You will support VOSKER's compliance with applicable international laws and regulations, particularly with regard to the protection and confidentiality of personal data;
You will participate in the identification of needs and the development of internal and external corporate governance policies and processes.
- You will define and implement interdepartmental processes to ensure proper contract management and increased efficiency of the legal department;
- You will participate in the training and education of employees in the various departments on legal risks and opportunities;
You will provide timely legal support to the Finance and Growth team in its various investment and financing projects.
Qualifications
THE EXPERTISE REQUIRED TO TAKE US FURTHER :
- Bachelor's degree in law;
- 5-7 years’ experience in commercial law;
- 3 years' experience in data privacy law;
- 2 years' experience in corporate law;
- Good ability to work in a team;
- Be autonomous, resourceful and organized;
- Demonstrate rigor, commitment, be curious and proactive;
- Ability to work under high pressure and make decisions quickly if needed;
Ability to communicate in both French and English (written / verbal). Frequent communication outside of Quebec.
Creativity and ease at proposing business-orientated legal advice that support the company's growth; and
