Millwright with a Power Engineer Certification looking for work in Chilliwack, BC!

We are looking for a professional Millwright with at least a 5th class power engineering ticket. We are looking for a someone who can offer preventative maintenance and repairs on a variety of equipment in our facility.

A lot of our facility counts on our boilers, so we are looking for a ticketed individual that can keep everything running smoothly at all times.

We need someone with a large passion for all things mechanical, that finds genuine interest in fixing or troubleshooting things, and wants to keep learning.

This is a long-term, full time position with growth potential internally within our union position. We are looking forward to welcoming you to the team!

Location : Chilliwack, BC

Shifts are Monday to Friday, 8 hours / day (only day and evening shifts, no night shifts)

Wage offered : $39.14- $44.50 depending on level of experience

Industrial Maintenance Technician not a RS Millwright but has minimum 5th class Power Engineer certification Starting wage is $38.

00 (increasing to $39.14 on June 1)

5th Class Power Engineer ticket required due to contract

Responsibilities

• Ability to prevent, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot equipment on a daily basis
• Good time management to prioritize the most important tasks first
• Ability to work with other lines of business and communicate with your team
• Can work with industrial boilers, kettles, agitators., pumps, piping, conveyors etc.
• Mechanically inclined with a passion for fixing things even on your own time
• Calibrating equipment and diagnosing problems and scheduled maintenances repairs
• Knowledge of PLC controls and strong mechanical aptitude

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the food manufacturing facility preferred
• 5th class power engineering certificate required due to union contract
• Ability to be moving for most of your day and can manage your time well
• Background with preventative maintenance and breakdowns
• Willingness to learn and a goal to grow
• Available full time and are open to a staggered shifts as needed
• Located in or around the Chilliwack, BC area
