Summer Students, Engineering – PetroChina Canada

CNPC is China's largest oil company and the world's third largest oil company, operating 91 energy‑related projects in over 35 countries and regions. PCC has invested billions of dollars in an asset‑rich portfolio of upstream, midstream, and downstream operations. In Alberta, this includes our MacKay River and Dover oilsands projects, Duvernay Shale Gas and a 50% interest in the Grand Rapids Pipeline. In British Columbia, we hold joint‑venture interests in the Groundbirch tight gas project and LNG Canada.

PCC has opportunities for engineering students to join one of our teams and support our assets in the areas of Production, Reservoir, or Facilities engineering. The positions will be based in our Calgary Head Office. All positions are a 4‑month term starting in May 2026.

Accountabilities (May Include, But Are Not Limited To)

• Support Team Operations

Assist the team in daily activities, participate in technical discussions, and provide technical opinions and feedback when appropriate

Gather, organize and analyze operational data to build a master database

Research and review new technologies, trends, best practices and equipment

Assist with updating ground deformation and well logs, managing observation wells, and reviewing 2025 studies
