POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES
Financial Planning
- Prepare monthly revenue, expense and / or capital forecasts
- Prepare reports and complete ad hoc analysis, including variance analysis
- Support financial planning projects including process improvement, information technology enhancements, etc.
Accounting
- Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations
- Prepare financial analysis on monthly and quarterly data
- Perform other month end closing responsibilities and related reporting
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Enrolled in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Commerce or Economics program with an accredited institution, preferably students going into their third (3) or fourth (4) year
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including but not limited to Excel
- Ability to work independently, and as part of a team
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Manage expectations and prioritize work-based requirements
- Exceptional analytical and problem solving
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform critical self-reviews
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Ability to use Best Practice to achieve departmental goals
