Controller

A growing real estate organization is seeking a Controller to join its finance team. This role is well suited for someone who enjoys being close to the business, working directly with senior leadership, and taking ownership of the full accounting function in a hands-on environment. About the Role

Reporting to a senior finance leader, the Controller will oversee day-to-day accounting operations and support financial decision-making across the business. You will manage a small team and be deeply involved in month-end, year-end, and ongoing financial activities, with exposure to both operating and investment-related entities. This role offers strong mentorship, broad responsibility, and the chance to grow alongside an experienced finance leader in a collaborative, learning-focused environment.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including financial statement preparation
• Manage and develop a small accounting team
• Work closely with senior leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Maintain oversight of multiple entities and intercompany activity
• Support continuous improvement of accounting processes and internal controls
• Act as a key finance partner to the business, helping leadership understand financial performance and key business indicators
