Bait-ul Ilm (BUI) is a religious education program dedicated to nurturing Ismaili children and youth. We aim to instill confidence, foster a sense of community, and inspire our students to live by the principles of their faith.
About the Role
We are seeking dedicated and caring volunteers to serve as Bus Monitors for our [educational / youth / community] program. Bus Monitors play a vital role in ensuring a safe, respectful, and positive environment for all students while they are being transported to and from our events or learning experiences.
About You
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist the bus driver in maintaining a safe environment during transportation
- Bus Monitor would be required to be the first person on the bus and the last one off; Time commitment would be on average to be available between 7 : 30 am to 3 : 00 pm on Saturdays (depending on the Bus Route and BUI center being supported)
- Greet and check in students as they board the bus
- Ensure all students are seated and following safety rules
- Support students with any basic needs during the ride (e.g., seating arrangements, comfort, behavior guidance)
- Communicate any issues or concerns to respective Principal
- Help with unloading / loading processes at pick-up and drop-off locations
- Bus monitor would also be required to keep in touch with the parents / students on a weekly basis to confirm if the student is to be picked up or not
