Job Overview

Full-time position (6‑month to 1‑year contract) at First Commercial Bank, a Schedule III Foreign Bank in Canada headquartered in Taiwan. The role is based in British Columbia, Canada.

Responsibilities

Conduct Loan Credit Analysis / Research
Prepare loan applications and process all appropriate documents
Monitor and administer loan portfolios and update account records
Administer and maintain loan and security files; ensure all required documents are in the files
Ensure loans are approved and maintained in compliance with the bank’s policy and procedures, and operate in compliance with laws and regulations
Maintain and monitor client business relationships
Remain apprised of local economic conditions
Other administrative work and reports on loans

Qualifications

1‑year minimum experience working in a lending capacity in the banking sector

Post‑secondary study in Finance and Accounting (preferred)

Broad knowledge of lending laws and regulations

Strong ability to perform detailed work under time constraints while maintaining a high degree of accuracy

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Proficient in Word and Excel

Fluency in Mandarin is an advantage

Only Canadian citizens and permanent residents will be considered for this position
