Scotiabank's Global Payments & Core Banking - Automotive Finance team is experiencing a massive transformation and growth with constantly evolving digital journeys and disruptions within automotive ecosystem and financing technologies.

The role :
Reporting to the Senior Manager, this critical role intersects business, technology, and the user requirements. With a focus on systems that support Automotive Finance business and its operations, you will focus on maximizing the business value of supporting applications.
To meet this end, you will collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit requirements which are coupled with enterprise goals and industry trends into an actionable product roadmap.
You also work closely with developers and should at minimum understand the technology stack and its implementation processes at a level that supports sound decision making.
This is a temporary full-time assignment that's expected to run until July 2025. When required, you can expect to work extended working hours to meet project deliverables or implementations.

- You excel at bridging the gap between Business & IT, ensuring common understanding and IT / Business alignment of both functional (for business needs) and non-functional requirements (such as reporting, performance, interfaces, and constraints).
- You want to help improve and drive our engineering practices by providing valuable inputs and suggestions as to what works well and what can be done better.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?
- You have excellent communication (verbal / written) skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders, both technical & non-technical.
- You have at least 7+ years of hands-on technical working experience as a Technical Business Systems Analyst in a challenging IT System solution environment.
- You have at least 5+ years of hands-on technical working experience with the following artifacts : Requirements Management Plans Use Cases Writing User Stories & Epics Grooming User Stories & Epics Product Backlog Refinement
- You have at least 5+ years of hands-on technical working experience with Test Case Reviews.
- You can demonstrate strong analytical & problem-solving skills; as well as the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment.
- You have knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Waterfall / Agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with business intelligence (BI) tools & data analysis techniques is an asset.
- Ideally, you have a solid understanding of Automotive Financing products & services or Leasing / Lending products & services in the banking industry.
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or in a related field.
- Completion of the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) certifications (Entry Certificate in Business Analysis™ (ECBA™) and / or Certification of Capability in Business Analysis™ (CCBA®) and / or Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP®) is an asset.
