What you’ll be doing…

As a Middle School Math Teacher at MWA, you are the architect of student success. You won’t just be delivering lessons; you’ll be designing culturally relevant, standards‑based experiences that make complex mathematical concepts accessible and exciting. You will play a dual role as both an instructional expert and a dedicated mentor, guiding a cohort of students through their academic and social‑emotional journey.

Your impact will include :

• Driving Growth : Delivering high‑quality instruction to 4-5 classes, ensuring significant, measurable growth in mathematical proficiency for every student.
• Mentorship : Leading an Advisory / Homeroom group, providing 1‑on‑1 check‑ins, social‑emotional learning, and post‑secondary planning support.
• Data‑Driven Innovation : Utilizing school‑wide benchmarks and classroom data to pivot and adjust your instructional strategy in real‑time.
• Culture Building : Actively participating in school‑wide norms—from morning huddle to supervision—to maintain a safe, rigorous, and inclusive campus culture.
• Collaboration : Working alongside grade‑level and content teams to align syllabi, unit plans, and “Weeks at a Glance” (WAAGS) with Common Core and California State standards.
