Position Title: Sports Medicine Physician

Location: Highgate Health - pt Health (205-7315 Edmonds Street, Burnaby, BC, V3N 1A7)

Status: 14 hrs/week – Casual Part Time

Schedule: Open 7 days/week

Compensation: 65-75% Fee-for-Service Split (based on experience)

Highgate Health - pt Health is currently seeking a Sports Medicine Physician to join our BC team of dedicated Physiotherapists, Massage Therapists, Kinesiologists and other allied health professionals. Join this dynamic practice and multidisciplinary team with busy locations throughout British Columbia and a well-maintained network of referral sources in the community. From billing and administrative support, to designated office and exam rooms, Lifemark ensures your transition to practice with us is a smooth one.

As a colleague, you will experience a role with the following support:

• Administrative Support: We have an administrative team to facilitate paperwork, booking, billing, and even online scheduling.

• Diverse Caseload: Expect a diverse, stable caseload with the flexibility to integrate pre-existing clients. Funders include MSP, PCVRS, ICBC and WSBC.

Your Day-to-Day

• Further the offering of our national Sports Medicine brand.
• Provide preventative and interventional treatments for our clients, including intra-articular Autologous Protein, PRP Hyaluronic, and Corticosteroid injections.
• Collaborate seamlessly with allied health practitioners to deliver optimal rehabilitation for athletes of all levels.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of musculoskeletal injuries and determine suitability for rehabilitation and further consultation.
• Demonstrate expertise in assessing and managing concussions within the sports population.
• Collaborate with coaches, dieticians, physiotherapists, strength and conditioning coaches, and other healthcare practitioners to facilitate athletes' return to play.
• Empower athletes to maximize performance levels and prevent injuries.
• Develop results-oriented treatment and rehabilitation plans for patients.

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Medicine, licensed to practice in BC.
• Diploma in Sports Medicine, a special interest, or other post-graduate training in sports medicine.
• Registered and in good standing with BC's College of Physicians and Surgeons.
• Specialization in Sports Medicine an asset.
• Experienced in providing preventative and interventional treatments for our clients, including intra-articular Autologous Protein (nSTRIDE), PRP, Hyaluronic, and Corticosteroid injections.
• Up-to-date personal liability & malpractice insurance.
