Shift Timings- Afternoon : 2pm-11pm/ Night: 9pm-6am EST
Responsibility :
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, coordinating inbound and outbound freight to meet daily priorities and weekly transportation targets while ensuring top-level service.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, brokers, and carriers to proactively address service risks, resolve issues, and ensure timely, transparent communication.
- Analyze lane data, on-time performance, and costs to effectively negotiate rates with customers and third-party carriers to ensure profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Communicate with customers, brokers, and carriers to resolve discrepancies related to pricing, service levels, delivery schedules, and documentation.
- Direct and organize logistics activities, including obtaining shipment rates, negotiating with service providers, selecting 3PL partners, tracking and expediting shipments, and resolving issues related to quality, quantity, or schedule.
- Lead and mentor team members in daily logistics operations, ensuring smooth workflow and performance targets are met.
- Verify and troubleshoot issues in shipping or customs documentation, including PODs, BOLs, and carrier confirmations.
- Proactively communicate service risks to customers and provide timely resolutions.
- Lead and manage a team within the operations department, ensuring smooth workflow, mentoring team members, and achieving performance targets.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience in the trucking industry and/or dispatch operations.
- Educational background in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a relevant business field.
- Demonstrated ability to actively manage multiple, concurrent projects, including time-sensitive shipments.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with freight bidding and rate negotiation processes.
- Understanding of the transportation industry and North American geography is an asset.
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and ability to quickly learn new software.
