A fantastic opportunity with a construction company who are seeking an assistant controller to join the team in Langley, Canada.
In this role, you will be overseeing junior accountants and the AP specialists in the team. The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about their career and looking to make an impact in a highly collaborative and friendly office!
Your new role
As the Assistant Controller, you will be responsible for the duties below :
- Supervise Accounts Payable and Receivable Processes / Team
- Assist with Month-End and Year-End Procedures
- Prepare accurate financial statements
- Assisting in budgeting and forecasting activities for ongoing and upcoming projects, supporting project managers in financial planning.
- Provide support to the controller
What you will need to succeed
- CPA Designation Preferred
- Motivated, self-directed and detail-oriented leader with proven work experience in senior accounting, finance or related field
- Construction / Real Estate experience preferred
- Experience with Sage preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
