The Facilities Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting the planning, execution, and completion of projects. This role involves maintaining project documentation, coordinating between various teams, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards.

Note : Due to business needs, this position is required to be fully on-site based at 50 Pemberton Avenue, North Vancouver.

What you’ll do

  • Manages project documentation and act as a central point for document control.
  • Supports Project Managers in overseeing project progress and execution.
  • Coordinates with interdisciplinary teams for efficient project delivery.
  • Assists with developing and monitoring project schedules, plans, and timelines.
  • Facilitates communication between project stakeholders.
  • Assists with preparing project status reports and documentation.
  • Ensures compliance with company standards and project specifications.
  • Assists with overseeing financial aspects, including budget tracking and financial forecasting.
  • Allocates and assigns projects by evaluating incoming requests and coordinating with relevant departments.

What you’ll bring

  • Diploma or degree in engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 2-3 years of experience in project management or coordination.
  • Understanding of the construction process and project flow.
  • Previous experience in an industrial setting is an asset.
  • Experience with document control in an industrial or construction environment is preferred.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Experience in a unionized environment and cross-functional team collaboration.
  • Familiarity with shipyard industry work processes is an asset.
  • Proficiency in document control practices with attention to detail.
  • Excellent conflict management and organizational skills.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, CAD, and Outlook.
  • Proven work experience as a Project Coordinator or Intern experience in a general contracting business is preferred.
  • Technical writing skills are a strong asset.
  • Basic construction and project management knowledge.
  • Experience with technical report preparation is an asset.

The estimated salary for this position is $67,500 -$82,500. In determining final salary, Seaspan considers many factors including the successful Candidate’s skillset and experience as well as position location and internal equity.

The final base salary offer will be at the Company’s sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive total compensation package.
