What Will You Do?
- Maintain and develop relationships with tire OEM’s, local and international tire support vendors.
- Coordinate tire and associated component purchases and inventory tracking, investigate trends and developments in tire, wheel / rim activities in the commercial vehicle marketplace.
- Manage purchase activity and process invoices into maintenance software, TMT, and notes in Solomon to communicate with maintenance and operational groups.
- Support Saturday AM yard checks and tire change out in the Baden yard filling in to coordinate activities with local tire service providers.
- Monitor and report performance and issues within the tire / rim asset group to indicate ROI and suggest policy changes.
- Support Erb terminal and shop network requirements for tires / rims and supplies for safe, effective, and efficient results with directions and actions.
- Perform activities as the key contact for retail, wholesale, and auction disposal of Erb Transport Equipment, in conjunction with Senior Corporate Fleet Director and Baden Shop Manager.
- Support disposal activities by driving and repositioning trucks, tractors, trailers, reefers, and related equipment to maintain fleet size and a positive return for asset disposal.
- Maintain tracking records for equipment disposal, work with maintenance administration for invoicing and collecting payments in a timely and complete timeframe.
- Coordinate the staff and resources required to dispose of equipment as required.
- Travel to terminal and shop locations to evaluate practices and requirements across the Erb network, visiting support locations in those areas to share the Erb requirements and policies.
- Support shop management in covering activities for vacations and shift disruptions as well as phone support.
- Evaluate component, supplies and vendor performance for tire / rim and supplies utilized in the Erb Transport Limited fleet.
- All other duties as required.
Who Are We Looking For?
- Clear and current AZ license with 5 years of driving experience preferred.
- Tire / rim knowledge for commercial vehicles with industry experience.
- Proven track record of safety first in all situations.
- Team player with a focus on company success and supporting those around them with safe and constructive directions.
- Mechanical aptitude, familiar with off road, highway and refrigeration equipment maintenance and operation.
