Job Description
The Director of Retail Cafés is an important member of the company’s senior leadership team, responsible for ensuring high standards in customer service, operational efficiency, team leadership, and coffee & food quality. This leader’s key focus areas will be leading a high performing customer-focused team, ensuring exceptional quality coffee and food, implementing training, tools & technology, and delivering strong operational & financial KPIs. A successful candidate will have exceptional leadership and communication skills, have a proven track record of leading muti-site operations, and be results-oriented with strong execution capabilities.
This position will serve as a role model, both internally and externally, and will exemplify the company’s culture and values. The position will be based in Vancouver, B.C.
Primary Responsibilities
Exceptional Quality & Experience in Cafés
- Ensure 49th Parallel exceptional customer service is being executed in all cafés
- Oversee effective & efficient operations in cafés focused on customers, ensure health & safety programs are executed
- Assess café menu to meet needs of customers, lead recommendations on modifications
- Create work policies and best practices / SOPs for all café positions
- Identify and oversee roll-out seasonal / new product innovation including recipe development, testing and training
- Identify opportunities to improve in café experience including merchandising & signage
- Collaborate with marketing team to ensure successful program ideas and execution
