Overview :
Pembina Pipeline Corporation’s Conventional / Oilsands Pipeline Division is actively hiring a Pipeline Operator. Reporting to the Day Foreman and located in the Sherwood Park office locations, the Pipeline Operator you will perform a variety of pipeline operational and maintenance duties.
Pembina's Conventional / Oilsands Business Units include a strategically positioned network of pipelines and related infrastructure, encompassing various hubs and terminals. This network facilitates the transportation of crude oil, condensate, and natural gas liquids across significant areas of Alberta, as well as parts of British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and North Dakota. Pembina ranks among Canada's largest operators of oil sands and heavy oil pipelines, and its Oil Sands business unit manages one of the most extensive merchant terminal operations in western Canada. These integrated assets enable us to offer long-term, dedicated transportation services to our customers.
Responsibilities may include but not limited to :
- Support Pembina’s safety culture of "Zero by Choice" and the “Life Saving Rules”. To read more about our Life Saving Rules, visit pembina.com / safety;
- Complete assignments safely, efficiently and in an environmentally conscious manner by observing company and industry safety practices;
- Be responsible for maintaining daily pipeline operations including measurement concepts, product quality, facility inspections, pipeline integrity and pigging activities;
- Monitoring and maintaining Athabasca District pipeline right of ways;
- Perform and assist with pipeline maintenance activities;
- Respond to pipeline system upsets, determine cause and resolve;
- Liaise with public and other related industry companies;
- Maintain pump stations, block valve sites and company vehicle in clean orderly condition;
- Organize and manage, oversee routine and non-routine maintenance activities;
- Occasionally expected to work out of town on project work and adapt to schedule changes easily;
- Comfortable with an on-call rotation associated with the responsibilities;
- Support and participate in a diverse, inclusive and equitable workplace; and
- Other duties as requested.
Qualifications :
This position is considered “Safety Sensitive” and so will require Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol Testing which includes testing for marijuana metabolites. You may also be required to provide a Driver’s Abstract.
The successful candidate must live within 100 km from Sherwood Park, AB.
The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. Final candidate will be required to undergo Pre-Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
