Senior Accountant
Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team in Calgary. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing financial processes, leveraging technology, and providing valuable insights to leadership. This role offers a hybrid work environment, requiring three days of in-person collaboration at the Calgary office each week, with the flexibility to work remotely on other days.
Your success will be defined by your ability to :
- Assist in monitoring and enhancing financial and operational internal controls.
- Contribute to the month-end close process.
- Prepare quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements note packages.
- Assist with MD&A review.
- Prepare monthly gas accruals, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Document complex transactions in accordance with IFRS, providing clear and insightful analysis.
- Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts, including PP&E and ROU asset continuities.
- Assist with the transactional cost build-up related to capital assets during month-end close.
- Support quarterly, interim, and annual external audits, as well as internal and tax audits as required.
- Respond to ad hoc requests for financial information and other duties as assigned.
