Description
The successful candidate will report to the Lab Supervisor and will conduct testing on various Research projects for the Fall 2024 Co-Op term . The Laboratory Technician will compile reports to determine product compliance to company standards and quality.
- Performing quality assurance testing on asphalt roofing shingle products and raw materials for compliance with company standards.
- Taking direction from Lab Supervisor or Corporate Quality Engineer to conduct research projects.
- Complying laboratory reports based on interpreting research data for evaluation by the Lab Supervisor.
- Following and adhering to Internal Laboratory SOPs, ASTMs and UL test methods.
- Maintaining good record keeping practices and strict adherence to quality and safety programs.
- Receiving samples from various internal and external customers and assigning sample numbers for identification.
- Maintaining accuracy and calibration of laboratory testing equipment.
- Other projects and assignments related to research and quality assurance may be assigned.
- Work with production plants within IKO to provide support and supplemental research data.
