The Head Coach will be responsible for coaching duties associated with the specific Varsity Sports Program. Responsibilities may include planning, recruitment, team selection, player development, technical and tactical preparation in support of the mission and core values of the Athletics Department / York University. This is a professional coaching position and all the duties of the position must be conducted in adherence with the policies, rules, and regulations of York University, the Department of Athletics and Recreation, OUA, U Sport and specific PSO / NSO's.
Education : High School Diploma.
Experience :
Sport-specific knowledge and skills and the ability to teach these skills. Valid coaching certification. Member in good standing with applicable sporting organization or PSO / NSO.
Sport-specific background, minimum three years coaching experience at club / high school or higher (preferred college / university level)
Understanding of USports and OUA Procedures and Policies.
Possess a valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract, Standard First Aid Certification

Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with student-athletes
