We are looking for a seasoned and motivated Big Data Engineer to join our growing team of Enterprise Data and Advanced Analytics Platform. The ideal candidate is an expert data pipeline builder and data wrangler who enjoys optimizing data systems and building them from the ground up.

They must be self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems and products across a full spectrum of technologies. This role will report into Senior Manager, Data & Analytics

Responsibilities :

• Build and maintain efficient data pipeline architecture.
• Assemble large, sophisticated data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements : automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, performance, etc.
• Administration and management of all AWS services, such as S3 buckets, RDS databases, EC2 instances, EMR, VPC network, Security Groups, Cloud Formation stacks, CloudWatch, Managed Airflow, Simple Notification Services, etc.
• Experience working with bulk and streaming data - ingest, transform and store into cloud-based systems
• Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and AWS 'big data' technologies.
• Practice established development disciplines such as good code management, branching and merging of code in a GIT repository.
• Have relevant and highly developed professional and technical skills; experienced level of knowledge in field of expertise and strong knowledge of business / context
• Collaborate with external and internal clients, manage expectations and handle queries
• Be available for on-call and off business hours support on a rotation basis
• Act as an active great teammate and mentor junior staff members by conducting technical reviews and brainstorming sessions
