Job description

Are you an organized and detail-oriented professional looking for a temporary administrative opportunity? Our client in Langford, BC, is seeking an Administrative Support Specialist to assist their team from mid-March to mid-May. This role offers a flexible part-time schedule of approximately two days per week (Monday and Thursday, 8 : 00 AM – 4 : 00 PM, with flexibility for shorter days if preferred), followed by full-time coverage for a few weeks in May.

This is a great opportunity to gain experience in a professional office setting, supporting a dynamic team with administrative tasks such as scheduling, client interactions, phone management, document scanning, and data entry. Position : Temporary Administrative Support

Location : Langford, BC

Duration : Mid-March to Mid-May

Hours : Approximately 2 days per week (Monday and Thursday, 8 : 00 AM – 4 : 00 PM, with flexibility for shorter days if preferred). Full-time coverage required for a few weeks in May.

Pay Rate : $22 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Preparing financial statements, reports, memos, invoices letters, and other documents.
  • Controlling the schedule for advisors
  • Answering phones and routing calls to the correct person or taking messages.
  • Handling basic bookkeeping tasks ( petty cash)
  • Filing and retrieving corporate records, documents, and reports.
  • Researching and conducting data to prepare documents for review and presentation by boards of directors, committees, and executives.
  • Helping prepare for meetings.
  • Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an executive assistant or other relevant administrative support experience.
  • In-depth understanding of entire MS Office suite.
  • High school diploma.
  • Ability to organize a daily workload by priorities.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced quickly changing environment.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills.
  • Professional level verbal and written communications skills
