Scout HR + Talent is representing our client, a local, reputable law firm in Woodstock, ON in their search for an experienced Real Estate Law Clerk.

With multiple locations and a dedication to providing high-quality legal services to clients, the Real Estate Clerk will be responsible for managing files from beginning to end, so time management, organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential qualities.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Preparation and drafting of correspondence and legal documents (including disclosure documentation, agreements, closing documents, etc.)
• Preparation of mortgage documents
• Completing all aspects of residential purchases, sales and financings
• Organization / coordination of files / closing
• Performing sub-searches of title and off-title searches
• Administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing correspondence
• Working closely and cohesively with Lenders, Clients, and other Law Firms
• Prepare various documents and files in Unity (formerly Conveyancer), Microsoft Word, Quintalink, and Soluno
• Other general duties as required

Skills, Abilities and Background :

• Minimum 2-3 years’ Law Clerk experience with 1+ years in Real Estate
• Successful completion of Law Clerk Diploma program an asset
• Experience with residential real estate transactions required, with knowledge of commercial and agricultural real estate transactions an asset
• Must be proficient in standard real estate software applications such as Unity (formerly Conveyancer) and Microsoft Word.

Experience with Quintalink and Soluno preferred.

Stellar interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize in order to meet deadlines
