Job description

Peter Anthony Designs Inc. (“PADI”) is a leading manufacturer and supplier of Quick-Serve and Casual Dining furniture also providing custom millwork and décor packages. The business was developed on the simple premise that imaginative, creative and innovative interior designs and quality seating would have a positive impact on restaurant profitability. Although the industry has evolved and brands have moved to standardized restaurant image designs PADI remains a key partner by maintaining a customer centered approachfor seating and décor services meeting individual brand and franchisee needs. As a key partner in construction PADI has completed more than 8,000 projects across Canada, the United States and Puerto Rico for many leading Quick Serve Restaurant brands.

Today, PADI is targeting strategic growth opportunities in the American and Canadian markets for Quick-Serve and Casual Dining sector expansion, as well as institutional, educational, medical, and retail sectors.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for promoting sales and managing the interface to the customer. Additionally, you will collaborate with design and purchasing to ensure quotes are delivered in an accurate and timely manner according to customer criteria and ultimately the product is delivered on time according to customer and PADI criteria. Organizationally, you will be responsible for growing sales for specific customer base while improving margin. In this role you will report to the President. This role will require a strong passion for sales and would benefit from both technical hands-on experience as well as a functional grasp of required components in industrial design and production of products. In this role the successful candidate will :

  • Create and develop sales strategies for clients and assist in expanding PADI product offerings and improving profitability.
  • Seek out opportunities to reduce risk for PADI and customers while improving value add contributions.
  • Manage PADI reputation with key stakeholders at customers and within construction teams to improve sales penetrations in existing customer channels.
  • Offer continuous improvement in managing projects as well as products.

Creates and improves PADI processes that exceed customer orientation around quality and delivery while achieving profitability targets for PADI specifically around customer metrics and in support of PADI financials.

  • I ncrease customer engagement by building relationships with customers and creating a welcoming environment.
  • Successfully d rives waste out of sales and customer processes.
  • Resolve warranty claims by ensuring critical customer topics are prioritized and driven to conclusion.
  • Enter and process sales orders accurately in ERP system.
  • Lead collaboration activities between sales, design, production and purchasing.
  • Foster a sense of team organization towards goals across the PADI organization.
  • Closely partner with management team to prioritize and meet / exceed operational objectives.
  • Handle customer concerns by identifying issues, providing solutions, and ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Requirements

  • Previous well-rounded sales experience gained within a manufactured product sector.
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in understanding building construction documents, including working drawings.
  • Open minded and willing to learn.
  • Excellent problem solver.
  • Computer proficiency is required and exposure to an enterprise resource system is an asset.
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint) proficiency is also a must.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience developing comprehensive sales presentations.
  • Project management skills to define objectives, scope, cost, and schedules.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to participate in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, organize, meet deadlines, and be dependable.
  • Well presented, articulate, and able to present to customers and colleagues in a professional manner.
  • Tolerance for repetitive work in a fast-paced, high production work environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and passion for meeting goals.
  • Track record of customer service and ‘can-do’ mindset.
  • Location

  • Works from an office, handling sales via phone or internet. Some travel to job sites or customers may be required.
  • Education

  • Diploma in Interior Design would be considered an asset.
  • The Customer Relations & Sales Representative isa brand champion who blends exceptional service with sales skills, building customer loyalty, solving problems, educating on products, and driving sales by delivering quotes, and processing sales orders accurately in EPICOR . They're energetic, patient, good listeners, and skilled at making connections to enhance brand perception and revenue, often requiring strong communication, computer skills, and sales training.
