As a Junior Estimator, you will support the Service Department by preparing accurate, timely estimates for inspections, repairs, and service-related work. This role is ideal for someone early in their estimating career who is looking to build strong technical knowledge within a fast-paced, hands-on service environment.
Reporting to the Estimating Manager and the VP of Service Operations, you will work closely with technicians, service coordinators, and internal stakeholders to ensure estimates, sourcing, and documentation align with job scope, customer requirements, and internal standards. This position is based in Hamilton within a busy and growing service operation.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare quotes for deficiency repairs identified during Preventive Maintenance inspectionsSource materials and pricing required for deficiency repair and follow-up repair quotesPrepare repair quotes resulting from service callsPrepare inspection quotes as requiredProvide technical support to technicians during service breakdowns when neededAssist with ordering spare parts upon requestPrepare quotes for shop breakdowns and equipment evaluationsMaintain and update spreadsheets tracking shop teardowns, breakdowns, inspections, and related service dataCollaborate closely with the Service Team to ensure timely communication and accurate documentationSupport additional service-related activities as required to ensure efficient departmental operationsREQUIREMENTS
1–3+ years of estimating, quoting, or service-related experience in an industrial, mechanical, or equipment-focused environmentStrong mechanical aptitude or technical understanding (hands-on experience considered an asset)Ability to interpret inspection findings, service reports, and technical documentationHigh attention to detail and accuracyStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven, service-focused environmentClear written and verbal communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Navision or similar ERP systems is an assetCollaborative mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team#INDSTRIVEON
