Geotechnical Engineer

Matchbox Consulting Group is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer on behalf of our client- a Geotechnical Engineering Consultancy known for providing the highest level of service to their clients! This role entails involvement in a spectrum of projects, spanning from small-scale residential applications to extensive developmental ventures.

It emphasizes extensive interaction with colleagues, consultants, contractors, and the wider community.

Responsibilities :

• Direct involvement in planning, organizing, and overseeing various projects from initiation to completion.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met within specified timelines and budgets.
• Implementing project management methodologies to optimize efficiency and quality.
• Conducting comprehensive on-site evaluations and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and project specifications.
• Identifying and resolving potential issues or discrepancies during site visits to maintain project integrity.
• Proficiently preparing detailed reports outlining project progress, findings from inspections, and comprehensive proposals for new initiatives.
• Communicating complex technical information effectively to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
• Providing guidance, support, and mentorship to team members, fostering their professional growth and skill development.
• Collaborating with colleagues to share knowledge and best practices, contributing to a cohesive and high-performing team environment.

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s in Geotechnical Engineering
• Registered Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with EGBC
• Excellent hand written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
• Excellent organizational skills
• The ability to work well in a team environment and independently
• A valid driver’s license with a vehicle
