As a Maintenance Cost Controller, you'll serve as the guardian of project finances, collaborating closely with diverse teams to support Project Managers across the project lifecycle.

From inception to closure, your keen eye for detail and knack for efficiency will be instrumental in ensuring smooth sailing.

Your odyssey will include :

  • Documenting purchase orders, forecasts, and inventory details meticulously within project cost workbooks.
  • Engaging in monthly cost analysis and reporting, offering advice on budgetary matters.
  • Harmonizing project cost reporting with approved annual and control budgets, ensuring financial harmony.
  • Enforcing robust cost controls to steer projects towards prosperity and success.
  • Partnering with project teams to forecast monthly project costs, providing clarity and foresight.
  • Participating in meetings to illuminate project costs, schedules, and forecasts with your insights.
  • Collaborating closely with project managers to process purchase orders and change orders expeditiously.
  • Unraveling the mysteries of project costs against work orders using enterprise-wide resource systems.
  • Taming and managing contractor costs, instilling transparency and accountability in every transaction.
  • Supporting monthly accrual processes to maintain financial precision and accuracy.
  • Pioneering enhancements to existing project controls and systems, propelling efficiency and effectiveness forward.
  • Assisting in the graceful closure of completed projects, ensuring every loose end is tied with finesse.
  • Embracing spontaneous requests with gusto and a can-do spirit.

Your arsenal should boast :

  • A foundational understanding of project management principles, coupled with an insatiable hunger for knowledge.
  • Proficiency in the arcane arts of cost control principles, project accounting, and reporting, with a mastery of Microsoft Excel.

Education and Experience :

  • Minimum : A technical qualification in business or engineering.
  • Preferred : Experience in project cost control, with a nod to familiarity in enterprise-wide systems like JD Edwards.
