JOB SUMMARY :
As the Safety Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company-wide safety program throughout the assigned site. You will conduct daily site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure all on site are following Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Regulations and Centron Policies and Procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Oversee the management of the corporate safety program by developing, implementing and monitoring safe work practices to meet business targets and objectives and comply with all Health and Safety Regulations on site.Coordinate training programs, safety and environmental policy and procedures.Provide direction and support to the site teams.Ensure that all company and government safety rules and regulations are enforced.Monitor operations for compliance with all applicable health, safety and environmental legislation and make recommendations to improve compliance standards.Advise management of continuous improvement initiatives as required for health, safety and environmental standards.Conduct daily site orientations.Conduct reviews of the job site to ensure workers, supervisors, foremen and sub-trades are following the company safety program policies and OH&S procedures.Review statistics and report to EHS Manager including review and sign-off for incident investigations, time lost, OH & S requirements and corrective actions.Review internal safety audits with EHS Manager.Demonstrate leadership and teamwork towards the Corporate Safety Program, ensuring due diligence to all safety, health and environmental issues.Conduct Preconstruction Safety Meetings.QUALIFICATIONS : Education :
NCSO, CRSP or OHS Diploma.An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered .Advanced First Aid an AssetAuditor an AssetTraining Tickets :
Fall Protection an AssetCSTS an AssetElevated Work Platform an AssetExperience :
3-5years experience managing a site safety program on a large project.Knowledge ofBuilding Codes and Construction Safety a definite asset.Sound working knowledge of the Alberta OH&S Act, Workers Compensation and other related regulations / legislation is required.
