Jardeg is currently recruiting for a Carpenter Journeyperson to join the Bethany Care Redevelopment Project team in Calgary ! The schedule for this position is Monday to Friday, with possible extended hours and weekends as required by the site.

Responsibilities

• Build forms for concrete
• Cut, shape, and join
• Look for and fix deficiencies
• Build hoarding and other temporary structures
• Check accuracy of work, and make adjustments as required
• Study blueprints for work planning
• Construct and form chutes for pouring concrete
• Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level
• Inform immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and / or take appropriate measures
• Act as a work leader and mentor to apprentice carpenters
• Perform laborer duties in addition to carpentry work
• General site upkeep
