We areseeking an experienced and results-oriented Manager, DataProtection Services to drive our team of global experts insafeguarding our customers' data.

As a seasoned leader withextensive experience in backup and disaster recovery (DR)solutions, you will oversee the strategic growth and operationalexcellence of our data protection services.

Your entrepreneurialspirit and ability to run the department like your own businesswill be instrumental in ensuring our customers' data assets areprotected and our business thrives.

What You’llDo

• Overseeand manage a global team of data protection experts responsible forimplementing, maintaining, optimizing, and innovating backup and DRsolutions, including Barracuda Hybrid Backup, Veaam, and otherleading technologies.
• Develop and implementdata protection strategies that align with business objectives,regulatory requirements, and market trends, ensuring that data isprotected from unauthorized access, modification, or deletion, evenin the event of ransomware attacks.
• Conductregular assessments of data protection systems and processes toidentify and mitigate risks, including ransomware attacks, hardwarefailures, and human error, and design plans to mitigate theserisks.
• Implement and maintain disaster recoveryplans to ensure rapid recovery of data and systems in the event ofoutages or incidents, including offsite and offline backup storageto prevent ransomware attacks from affecting recoverycapabilities.
• Provide technical guidance andsupport to customers on data protection matters, including bestpractices for encrypting backups, creating secure storageenvironments, implementing identity and access management (IAM)controls, designing and implementing immutable backup strategies,and conducting risk assessments.
• Stay abreastof industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes,identifying new market opportunities and developing innovative dataprotection solutions that provide strategic value to ourcustomers.
• Collaborate with cross-functionalteams to integrate data protection solutions with other ITinfrastructure components, ensuring seamless data protection,recovery, and compliance operations.
• Analyzedata protection performance metrics and identify opportunities forimprovement, recommending enhancements to backup schedules, storagecapacity, and recovery procedures.
• Prepare andpresent regular reports on data protection activities and status,including assessments of security risks, compliance with policies,and the effectiveness of data protectionsolutions.
• Drive business growth by activelymarketing the department's services, building relationships withkey stakeholders, and developing partnerships with industryleaders.
• Negotiate and manage contracts withvendors and partners, ensuring that we obtain the best value forour data protection investments.
• Proactivelymanage project schedules, budgets, and resources, ensuring thetimely and successful delivery of data protectioninitiatives.
• Champion innovation and foster aculture of continuous learning within the team, empoweringemployees to develop new skills andknowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor'sdegree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a relatedfield.
• 10+ years of experience in dataprotection, with proven expertise in backup and DRsolutions.
• Proven track record of leading andmanaging teams of data protectionexperts.
• In-depth knowledge of Barracuda HybridBackup, Veeam, and other leading data protectionsolutions.
• Extensive experience withvirtualization technologies, including VMware and MicrosoftHyper-V.
• Strong entrepreneurial spirit andability to run the department like your ownbusiness.
• Excellent analytical andproblem-solving skills.
• Excellent communicationand interpersonal skills.
• Ability to workindependently and as part of ateam.

EssentialSkills :

• Proficientin cloud-based data protectionsolutions.
• Experience with data loss prevention(DLP) and data encryption technologies to protect backups fromunauthorized access and modification.
• Abilityto design, implement, and manage data protection solutions forcomplex enterprise environments.
• Familiaritywith industry standards and best practices for data protection,including regular backups, offsite storage, and securityaudits.
• Commitment to innovation and continuousimprovement in data protectionpractices.
• Passion for safeguarding criticaldata and ensuring businesscontinuity.
• Expertise in designing andimplementing immutable backup strategies, ensuring that databackups are not susceptible to modification or deletion, even byauthorized users.
• Understanding of ransomwareprevention techniques and how immutable backups contribute toransomware resilience.
• Ability to integrateimmutable backups with disaster recovery plans to ensure that evenin the event of a ransomware attack, critical data can berecovered.
• Ability to identify and pursue newmarket opportunities for data protectionservices.
• Strong negotiation andrelationship-building skills to establish and maintain partnershipswith vendors and customers.
• Proactive approachto project management and resourceallocation.
