Career Opportunity in Psychiatry

The Department of Psychiatry is seeking Full Time Associates.

The successful applicants are expected to work in the outpatient, inpatient and emergency room shifts. We have opportunities in Geriatrics, Child and Adolescent and Outpatients.

The department provides a broad range of mental health services for all ages from children and youth to adults and seniors in outpatient clinics and inpatient services.

The preferred candidate will participate in the On Call schedule on a rotating basis along with Quality initiatives and committee work.

Applicants with special interest in Geriatrics or Medical Psychiatry are encouraged to apply. The position requires excellent communication skills in English.

Additional languages are considered an asset as we serve a highly diverse population. Remuneration is fee-for-service as set by the OHIP Schedule of Benefits and Fees as well as sessional and stipend.

Qualifications

The candidates must have a Certificate of Registration to practice from the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Ontario and from the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada.

Certification from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology will be considered. The position requires excellent communication skills in English.

Additional languages are considered an asset as we serve a highly diverse population.

We have extensive mental health services including rRMS, ECT, Eskatamine, Brain Intervention Clinic as well as a comprehensive therapy program supported by a team of Nurse Practitioners, Social Workers, Crisis Workers, and Councillors
