GEI Consultants Inc: Field Ecologist Intern
Description : An on-call field ecologist intern position with the Canada branch of GEI that will focus on supporting assessments of wildlife communities at projects sites in southern Ontario, predominantly in the GTA.
It is anticipated that on-call field ecologist interns may assist in completion of a variety of survey types, including bat exit surveys, amphibian call count surveys, and other surveys as needed.
Work days and hours will be variable and there is no guarantee of a set number of hours across the field season as it will depend on a number of factors.
The ideal candidate will be located within an hour of the Markham office.
Looking for Candidates Who : Essential Responsibilities & Duties
Assist in the completion of field ecological investigations;
Assist with data compilation as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma
Interest in field ecology, as demonstrated through current or previous education pursuits or volunteer activities.
Ability to work flexible hours, predominantly expected to be evening work in the Greater Toronto Area.
Valid driver’s license is required
