About the opportunity…
As an integral part of the “we can do that” operation, this position is responsible for the direction and control of the New & Used Vehicle Sales Department, including staffing, forecasting, attaining projected sales objectives, and bottom-line results. Specifically :
supervise, direct, and lead in all aspects of the New & Used Vehicle Sales operationimplement all systems, scheduling, and procedures in the New & Used Vehicle Sales operationdevelop and execute a strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand the customer baseplan and execute monthly and annual objectives for vehicle sales, gross profit, and expense managementwith General Manager, prepare and manage the departmental budgetforecast, target, and track monthly sales, profit, and expense objectivesdevelop, implement, and manage vehicle sales standard operating procedures, and systems for customer follow-up and communicationwork closely with Sales Consultants and Finance & Insurance Managers, coaching and improving performance relating to vehicle and product sales, including vehicle trade-in opportunitiesmanage the customer relationship management system, ensuring that transactions are reported and recorded accuratelymanage new & used vehicle inventorymaintain a well-balanced inventory and sell each vehicle with maximum gross and minimum expenseensure correct purchasing and price evaluation decisions when purchasing vehicles and managing used car inventoryensure that all required licensing and regulatory requirements are followedtrack and post daily sales performancemaintain and track marketing and promotional programs, including co-op and OEM paid incentivesachieve and maintain above network average CSI scoresAbout you…
Ideal candidates will have a strong background and proven experience in customer service and dealership environment, including :
5 years of proven experience in vehicle sales management, prior used car management experience preferred5 years proven operations and people management experienceproficiency in working with ERP systems (i.e., Reynolds / DeskiT / Dealertrack / Accutrade)proficiency in working with Microsoft excel (ie.
