Your future duties and responsibilities :
As a Junior–Intermediate AIOps Engineer, you will support the evolution of CGI's Observability & AIOps services. You will collaborate closely with senior engineers, technical leads, and clients to help drive automation, intelligent monitoring, and operational insights. Your responsibilities will include :
Supporting configuration, deployment, and ongoing management of AIOps and Observability platforms (BHOM, Helix Service Monitoring, AIOps, Discovery and Dynatrace).
Developing scripts, APIs, and integrations to enhance monitoring, data ingestion, automation workflows, and event noise reduction.
Participating in the creation of service models, monitoring policies, anomaly detection baselines, and event correlation logic.
Assisting in identifying monitoring gaps, proposing improvements, and recommending new features or capabilities clients should adopt.
Building dashboards, visualizations, and insights that help clients better understand their environment.
Supporting intelligent automation initiatives (self-healing, auto-remediation, enrichment logic, automated CMDB updates).
Preparing and delivering client-facing demos, walkthroughs, and operational presentations.
Participating in troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and data investigations to improve observability health.
Collaborating in Agile ceremonies, standups, planning sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Documenting solutions, runbooks, observability standards, and operational procedures.
Staying current with AIOps, monitoring, and automation best practices; researching and presenting innovative ideas to the team.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role :
1–3 years of experience in IT Operations, Monitoring, DevOps, Software Development, or Infrastructure roles.
Foundational experience with Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation and scripting.
Basic understanding of API development, REST APIs, JSON, and integration concepts.
Exposure to monitoring or observability tools (e.g., any logs, metrics, events platform—academic or work experience).
Knowledge of cloud concepts (AWS or Azure) and modern infrastructure fundamentals.
Strong communication skills, able to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Curiosity and willingness to learn enterprise AIOps platforms such as Helix Operations Management, Discovery and Dynatrace.
Desired Qualifications
Experience working with monitoring stacks, dashboards, or alerting tools (Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch, etc.).
Exposure to infrastructure-as-code, CI / CD pipelines, or automation frameworks.
Understanding of ITSM, CMDB concepts, or change / incident / problem management processes.
Experience with SQL, data visualization, or event analytics.
Familiarity with containers, Kubernetes, or cloud-native architectures.
Comfortable working directly with clients, presenting demos, or gathering requirements.

Education & Certifications
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $45 –$95 . This role is an existing vacancy.
