Position Summary

As our HSE Systems Specialist, youll play a pivotal role in our operations team, leading the charge on building upon our Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives as well as successfully closing out action items, either prior or newly founded. Youll partner with leadership and employees to create a proactive safety environment, minimize workplace risks, and champion a culture of compliance and continuous improvement. This position is required to travel between all 5 Windsor-Essex sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess action item plan based onpreviousred flag analysis, following through to maximum completion.
• Flaghigh riskscenarios and stop gaps across operations and proactively act against non-compliance in the workplace
• Improve current IRS across 5 facilities in Windsor region
• Track and Develop KPIs on H&S measurements
• Develop and coordinate Centralized JHSC across 5 facilities with appointed representatives
• Create systems and processes tomaintainand / oreliminaterisk
• Establish foundational H&S safety systems and enforce Operational Leaders to implement and sustain best practices
• Amalgamate different H&S practices into one, cohesive system of record
• Collaborate with teams across the city to ensure safe working practices are implemented and enforced
• Establish a Process of Completion matrix to inform stakeholders and providetimelyupdates to HR manager and Operations
• Oversee federal environmental reporting, permitting, and due diligence asrequired.
