BMO is currently sourcing for a Portfolio Associate position on a standard contract length, typically 6-12 months.
Summary of Role :
The Portfolio Associate will support the Portfolio Management Group (PMG) at BMO Private Banking Canada, aiding Investment Counselors in managing client investment accounts.
This role requires a solid understanding of investment management, financial markets, and a keen interest in economics. The associate will work on implementing investment strategies, maintaining portfolio alignment, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Project :
The Portfolio Associate will be involved in various projects supporting BMO Private Wealth Canada initiatives and ensuring effective investment management practices.
Years of experience :
Minimum of 3 years in the investment and / or financial services industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to) :
- Assist in the implementation, construction, and monitoring of client investment accounts.
- Prepare and assist with communications and reports for stakeholders.
- Liaise with the trading desk and support PMG Managers with block trades and portfolio analysis.
- Contribute to a collaborative work environment and share financial market insights.
- Participate in project management as a subject matter expert.
- Uphold risk management procedures and compliance policies.
Required Skills :
- Investment management
- General Knowledge of financial markets and economics
- Proficiency with MS Office,

- CFA, Level 1 (preferred)
