YoungEnergy Inc. is hiring Confined Space Entry Technician

As we continue to grow and expand, we are looking for motivated,dedicated and skilled individuals with industry experience. Our main office isbased out of Calgary, however this position does require travel throughoutWestern Canada in order to meet the needs of our confined space entry technician has accountability for following requiredprocedures, safe work plans and practices to perform cleaning of confinedspaces in industrial position requires workers to wear specialized personal protective equipment,use various hand tools, shovels, pressure wash wands, vacuum hoses and otherequipment. What you do :

  • Work in confinedspace for shifts of up to 2 hours
  • Operate pressurewash wand with up to 3000 psi pressure
  • Stand, sit,crouch and kneel for extended periods of time
  • Participate ininstallation and removal of energy isolation devices, blanks, blinds, etc.
  • Rig in / rig outventilation, wash and vacuum equipment
  • Follow directionsaccurately
  • Accuratereporting of conditions in the confined space
  • Assist confinedspace entry personnel in donning and doffing required PPE when entering andexiting confined space when not in confined space
  • Perform assignedemergency response roles including confined space rescue
  • Activelyparticipate in safety meetings, tool box meetings, permit and hazard assessmentreviews
  • Prepare hazardassessments as appropriate
  • Maintaincomposure during high stress and multi-tasking challenges
  • Support cleaningof respiratory protective equipment
  • Complete requiredinspection records for PPE and equipment
  • Complete requiredinventory of trailer daily and at end of project
  • Support outsideof space operations, maintaining support equipment in berm / work area asdirected
