We are a new brewery looking to do business a little different, and we're excited to grow our team with individuals who share our passion for craft beer, sustainability, and community engagement.
The Role : As the Kitchen Team Lead at Connector, you'll be the driving force behind our kitchen operations, leading a team, managing inventory and food cost while crafting mouthwatering plant-based dishes that perfectly complement our refreshing brews.
You'll have the chance to showcase your culinary talents while making a difference!
What you will do :
- Lead our kitchen team with enthusiasm and creativity, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment where teamwork and innovation thrive.
- Collaborate with owners and culinary team to continuously develop a tantalizing, cost-effective, plant-based menu that complements craft beer offerings.
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including monitoring inventory levels and ordering supplies, costing, preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation.
Ensure adherence to high standards of food quality and safety, consistency.
- Implement efficient workflows and procedures to optimize productivity and minimize waste.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff, empowering them to excel in their roles and reach their full potential. Foster a culture of continuous learning and growth, providing ongoing feedback and support to promote professional development.
- Connect with local farmers, producers, and artisans to source the freshest and local ingredients for our kitchen. Engage with the community through culinary events, workshops, and partnerships to promote plant-based living and environmental stewardship.
Who you are and what you will bring :
- A passion for plant-based cuisine and a commitment to sustainability.
- Previous experience in a culinary leadership role in a high-volume kitchen environment.
- Proven experience in delivering a high quality, consistent food program.
- Knowledge of ingredient sourcing and procurement techniques
- A creative approach to menu development and flavor pairings.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Valid Food Safe certificate and an expert in food safe best practices
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, remaining calm and focused under pressure.

Salary : $20.00-$21.00 per hour
Expected hours : 30-40 hours per week
Schedule : 6-8 hour shift
Supplemental pay types : Tips
Experience : Hospitality : Minimum 2-year experience in a culinary leadership role (required)
License / Certification : Food Safe (required)
Ability to Commute : Westbank, BC (required)
