Overview of role
WestJet is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer (Azure) reporting into our Digital Technology office within the Accounts & Rewards area. This individual can exhibit a high standard of excellence, enjoys challenges, and is results-driven. The incumbent must be highly motivated and demonstrate the ability to work in an agile environment.
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be designing, implementing, deploying, and supporting infrastructure as code to deliver APIs and frontend software applications to our guests. This position requires an energetic and motivated individual with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn and contribute to a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with others are essential. You will participate in the following areas : apply industry-standard processes, practices, and techniques; lead the DevOps team and business stakeholders to develop and support appropriate software solutions that meet WestJet’s business, technical and quality requirements; coach and mentor to other DevOps team members.
