As part of the leadership team, you will work closely with the COO to facilitate efficiencies within manufacturing and operations.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement & Sourcing Manager to join our leadership team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic procurement plans, managing supplier relationships, and driving process improvements to support the company’s growth and operational objectives.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely delivery of quality materials and products while fostering strong vendor partnerships.

Key Responsibilities :

Procurement & Sourcing :

  • Develop and implement strategic procurement plans to optimize value and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues that may impact manufacturing timelines.
  • Lead supplier negotiations, securing favorable contracts to ensure timely delivery and high-quality materials.
  • Research and identify potential suppliers, managing the supplier list to ensure all vendors meet the organization’s quality and safety standards.
  • Prepare and follow up on purchase orders, deliveries, and inventory to ensure smooth operations.

Process Management :

  • Develop and manage procurement performance scorecards and KPIs, ensuring accurate data and reliable reporting.
  • Maintain status reports on sourcing and procurement activities to provide clear visibility to stakeholders.
  • Review and update procurement and inventory management policies, ensuring compliance with operational efficiencies and organizational objectives.
  • Stay current on market trends and best practices, making recommendations for risk mitigation and cost savings.

Leadership :

  • Mentor, train, and develop your team to ensure effectiveness and efficiency within their roles.
  • Establish performance goals and conduct regular reviews to identify gaps, areas of improvement, and successes.
  • Identify training needs and encourage team members to attend development opportunities.
  • Maintain strong health and safety standards, creating and enforcing policies and procedures to foster a safety-first culture.

The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary education in business, procurement, or supply chain management, coupled with at least four years of experience working in a mid-sized organization.

Your background in a manufacturing environment will be essential for understanding the operational context and contributing to a safety-first culture.

You should have demonstrated expertise in managing supplier relationships and identifying opportunities for new vendors.

Strong negotiation skills, along with the ability to recognize and mitigate risks in the procurement process, are critical for success in this role.

We seek someone with a solid foundation in project and people management, who can effectively influence others through strong communication and conflict resolution skills.

Your proven problem-solving abilities, exceptional analytical acumen, and superior relationship management capabilities will be key assets.

Additionally, this role requires a detail-oriented individual who can perform well under pressure and ensure that deadlines are met.
