Senior Product Manager Halifax, NS Onsite / Hybrid $150,000 - $200,000

I’m working with a custom software development company, based in Halifax who are looking to hire a Senior Product Manager to their ranks.

Within this position, you’ll be wearing many hats, due to being at the center of their product development process.

They're looking for someone to own the product direction, anticipating challenges the company / product may face. You’ll have no issues in deep diving into relevant market trends & client requirements.

There will also be a requirement for financial awareness, being able to manage budgets effectively & communicating these elements to clients.

Senior Product Manager Requirements

• Formulate an engaging product vision that aligns with company objectives.
• Develop and refine a roadmap for future product improvements, outlining clear strategies for success.
• Proactively collaborate with internal stakeholders to anticipate challenges and offer solutions.
• Secure support for the product vision internally and externally.
• Gain insight into the target market and customer needs, gathering customer feedback on products and services.
• Analyze industry trends and competitor activities to adjust strategies.
• Create & execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies, including for new product releases.
• Refine user stories and contribute to product backlog prioritization.
• Manage the product budget, adjusting pricing based on market conditions and customer feedback.
• Research and pursue government funding opportunities.
• Drive product launches in collaboration with PR teams, executives, and other product management team members.
• Evaluate promotional plans for consistency with product line strategy.

Senior Product Manager Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or completion of a diploma program from a recognized post-secondary institution (preferred).
• Minimum of 5+ years of proven work experience in product management.
• Track record of successfully managing products throughout their lifecycle.
• Ability to develop and effectively communicate product and marketing strategies.
• Strong technical background with an understanding of software development and web technologies.
• Experience with agile methodologies and tools, such as Scrum.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
• Understanding of product development processes, customer needs, and market trends.
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead large teams.
• Demonstrated success in developing and launching innovative products that have achieved market success.
• Management of a cross-functional team of technical resources.
