About the Role

Terus Construction, a division of Colas Western Canada Inc., is seeking a Ready-Mix Truck Driver in Nelson, BC (West Kootenays).

Main Responsibilities

• Must be able to safely operate a Ready Mix Truck.
• Complete driving assignments in a timely and safe manner.
• The applicant must be able to lift and move product sometimes involving strenuous labour.
• Ability to work extended hours & irregular days with irregular breaks.
• Will be required to maintain necessary logs, driving records and DOT certifications.
• Complete daily pre and post trip inspections of vehicle.
• Complete adhoc tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Perform a variety of tasks as needed or required when not delivering concrete.
• Must be willing to travel and work out town occasionally when required or necessary.

Compensation Data

This is a unionized position.

During the three-month probationary period, the hourly wage is 85% of the standard rate, which equates to $31.02 / hour. Upon successful completion of probation, the wage increases to the full rate of $36.49 / hour.
