Construction Administrative Assistant - McIlvenna Bay Project (2 positions available)
GMining Services is a multidisciplinary company offering professional services in the mining industry, for underground or surface projects, in precious, base, or industrial metals.
GMining Services is one of the largest mining engineering consulting firms in Quebec, and one of the largest firms recognized for international projects.
The work will be conducted for the McIlvenna BayProject located approximately 1 km south of Hanson Lake in east-central Saskatchewan.
McIlvenna Bay Mine is a carbon neutral copper development project, host to a significant and scalable resource located in one of the world’s premier mining jurisdictions, the western edge of the Paleoproterozoic Flin Flon Greenstone Belt (FFGB).
The McIlvenna Mine construction is managed by an experienced and integrated team, co-formed by the Owner Foran Mining Corporation and our Engineering, Procurement and construction Management team.
Construction and commissioning phases will comprise around 21 months, and the operation life of mine is estimated at 16 years.

Summary of responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Construction Manager, the incumbent will provide administrative and clerical support for day-to-day operations of the site construction team.
More specifically, the Construction Administrative Assistant will be called upon to :
- Manage day to day construction office administration requirements.
- Produce and file information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, and transmitting text, data, and graphics.
- Prepare reports by collecting diverse information.
- Provide editing and formatting for various documents and reports for team members.
- Maintain the Project team’s site work schedule.
- Maintain department schedule by arranging meetings, conferences, and teleconferences.
- Assist in the visit planning of stakeholders, book meetings and order catering.
- Take and draft meeting minutes as required.
- Support the administration requirements of the Construction senior management Team, including travel arrangements, expense reports, and other duties as required.
- Receive and sort mail, arrange for couriers.
- Maintain office supply inventories.
- Assist in coordinating a variety of special projects and community events.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in office administration.
- Post-Secondary education in business or office administration.
- General working knowledge of office administration.
- Be able to communicate in English (spoken and written), and in French is considered an asset.
- Experience on the field or in the construction industry is considered an asset.

- Proven organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to take initiative, multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong computer skills including extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Confidence in the ability to work within a deadline and handle a high volume of work accurately.
- Display a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Location and Logistics
- 2 positions are available at the mine site; McIlvenna Bay is located 1 km south of Hanson Lake, Saskatchewan, and approximately 95 km by road west of Flin Flon, Manitoba.
- Schedule is 7-7 rotation (1 week on site followed by 1 week off).
- 10 hours of work per day.
- Accommodation and meals provided on site by Foran.
- Possibility of a transportation allowance based on your home location.
- Workout room available.
Additional Information
- Group insurance (coverages paid by G Mining : medical, paramedical, dental, vision, and travel)
- Beginning of contract : as soon as possible
- Contract end : Estimated in July 2025, possibility of extension according to the project evolution.
- May be required to adjust work schedule from time to time to accommodate special events.
